10 Best Android Phones under 10000 Rs (January 2016)

6. Samsung Galaxy On7:

To regain its lost grounds in the budget segment, Samsung has launched its new Galaxy On5 and On7 in India. The Galaxy On7 is the more powerful out of the two and makes a better proposition so let’s talk about it. Starting with the design, the Galaxy On7 has the typical Samsung design with plastic build. It has a leather like textured back panel and beautiful metal-like plastic edges on the sides, the build quality is decent. It sports a 5.5 inches TFT screen with HD resolution, turning out a 267 ppi pixel density. The display quality is decent but far better displays are available at this price. The Galaxy On7 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad Core Processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and gives a good lag free performance. It features a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera and like other Samsung phones, the picture quality of both the cameras is good. The phone runs on Android v5.1 with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI running on top of it. Samsung has revamped the Touchwiz UI, it is now optimized, looks beautiful and comes with less bloatwares. The phone supports 4G on both the sim slots. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage which should have been atleast 16 GB, however it is expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card. A good thing about the phone is its big 3000 mAh removable battery, the phone is not very resource intensive and thus it delivers good battery backup. Overall, the Galaxy On7 packs all the necessary features & good cameras but in terms of performance it is far behind from what the competition is offering at the same price but, it still can be a good choice if you have normal usage and specially want a Samsung phone for its reliability and after sales service. The Galaxy On5 priced at Rs. 8,990 has same design but comes with a smaller 5 inches screen, 8 MP camera & 2600 mAh battery, it can be a good choice if you are looking for a 5 inches phone. If you increase your budget a little the Galaxy J5 will be a better choice.

The phone’s design is very premium and detailed, the circular power button of the phone looks very beautiful. It has got a 5.5 inches Full HD screen with 401 ppi pixel density. A great thing about the phone is, it comes with the 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 Processor, which needs no introduction. It is immensely powerful and is well-respected. The phone comes with 2 GB RAM. The M810 has decent 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras. It comes with Sony Exmor R Sensor and f/2.2 aperture lens. The phone has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 64 GB. 8. Meizu M2 Note:

Meizu, another Chinese brand which recently entered in India, has upgraded its M1 Note with the new M2 Note. The new phone packs some great specs at a very low price. It has a 5.5 inches Full HD screen with 403 ppi pixel density which is great. It has a 13 MP rear camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture, 5-element lens, 4X digital zoom, 300° panoramic lens, Blue glass IR filter and Dual LED flash, it is capable of clicking 30 photos per second. The 5 MP front camera comes with ƒ/2.0 aperture, 4-element lens, 69° wide angle and Face AE face light boost. The quality of both the cameras is good, the phone camera is very fast and clicks images instantly without any shutter lags. It runs Flyme 4.5 OS on top of the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Flyme OS looks beautiful and comes with many features and options for customizations. The phone comes with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB. It supports Dual sim and 4G. The 3100 mAh battery gives the phone a good battery backup. The phone looks great and is powerful enough to give a tough competition to the most popular phones like the Asus Zenfone 2, Xiaomi Mi 4i, Lenovo K3 Note & Yureka Plus but, other companies have better established themselves in India. Overall, the Meizu M2 Note with its excellent features and powerful specs, is a very good package to go for.

[section label=”9. Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime”]

9. Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime:

The newly launched Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime is the upgraded version of the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, although the upgrades in the new phone are minimal. Starting with the design, the Redmi Note Prime comes with the same design of its predecessor, which is very simple in looks but the build quality is good and the phone feels sturdy in hands but at the same time, with the weight of 185 grams, it feels really heavy. It houses a big 5.5 inches screen with HD display, it is decent but phones with much better displays are available at this price, the Redmi Note Prime doesn’t come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection also. It is powered by a Quad Core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 Processor (the Redmi Note 4G runs on Snapdragon 400) paired with 2 GB RAM, it performs good for normal usage but power users should not expect much from it. It features a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and 28 mm wide-angle lens and a 5 MP front camera, both the cameras have good picture quality. Unlike the Redmi Note 4G, it is a dual sim smartphone and supports 4G on both the sim slots. The phone runs on MIUI 7 based on the old Android v4.4.4 Kitkat which is very disappointing. It comes with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB with the help of a microSD card. It is backed by a Li-Po 3100 mAh battery which gives good battery life, it also comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 1.0 support. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime disappoints a little in few areas but it still is a good phone for normal usage.Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-Prime - Best Android Phones under 10000 Rs

[section label=”10. Moto G (2nd Gen)”]

10. Moto G (2nd Gen) (LTE):

Most brands and phones in this range are running behind specs but there is one company which is still offering great value – it is Motorola whose phones don’t boast great specs but on the contrary deliver a great user experience and satisfaction. The Moto G (2nd Gen) still offers some great values in the crowd of smartphones with great specs. Motorola has recently updated the Moto G (2nd Gen) with bigger 2390 mAh battery and 4G support. It sports a 5-inch HD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-Core processor and 1 GB RAM. It comes with water-resistant nano coating and supports Dual Sim. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box which is now upgradable to Android v5.0 Lollipop. Not to forget that it has the stock Android UI which delivers the pure Android experience. With the Moto G you can always get the future Android updates faster than the flagship phones. It has a 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. Well the camera quality can’t match many phones in this list but it’s still decent. It has 16 GB internal & 32 GB of expandable storage. It has excellent build quality and smooth performance. Another advantage to buy the Moto G is that, it is a very popular phone globally and it is always there in the news so, it will always get the attention of the developers and the company. Overall, if you are a person who likes quality over quantity then this is the one, it may not have the strongest specs but, it still has decent features and gives a great user experience. Also, if you like the Moto G (2nd Gen), it will be a good idea to increase your budget by 3,000 Rs. and go with the latest Moto G (3rd Gen) with 2 GB RAM, 13+5 megapixel cameras & it is also water-resistant.
