5 Best Android Phones under 15000 Rs (May 2014)

by Rahul DubeyMay 20, 2014

Looking to buy a mid ranged smartphone? Then it can be a very tedious task. As there are number of good phones in this range which make everybody confused and helpless. Don’t worry now, I am here to help you out. I have written the latest ranking of 5 Best Android Phones under 15000 Rs. for the month of May. Read it and compare the phones and choose the best one for you.

Last month hundreds of readers of this blog had commented and asked which phone they should choose among the crowded market. Which has made me better understand the requirements and view point of the buyers. So I am trying to make this list even easier for you by giving you appropriate information. You are always welcome to ask your queries.

There are many phones in this price range but there is one phone which dominates the list from last three months. Also some interesting phones are launched recently like the Nokia XL, and some more powerful octa-core processor phones like the Karbonn Titanium Octane and iBerry Auxus Nuclea X ,  so are these phones really so good that they get an entry in this list and you should buy them? To find out, let’s check out the list of 5 Best Android Phones under 15000 Rs.

#Buying Tip:

There are some amazing offers and discounts available in many categories on Flipkart, the no. 1 shopping site in India. Buying your Smartphones, Laptops and other gadgets online can be a wise decision as buying online can definitely save you some money. And no doubt Flipkart is best for Indian buyers.

 1. Motorola Moto G:

If you wish to buy a phone around 15,000 Rs. then buy Moto G, its the best. I have recommended  Moto G to hundreds of readers of this blog and many of my friends and not a single person has complained about the device. Three months after its launch in India, it has maintained its magic in the market. After the phone was launched at Flipkart, the 16 GB model went out of stock in just 15 minutes. It has raised the standard in the 15,000 range. The phone runs on the very latest Android 4.4 Kitkat. Excellent build quality and amazing performance. The amazing Snapdragon 400 processor had make sure that my Moto G hasn’t lagged since I bought it two and a half months ago. It has got one of the best ratings and user reviews with thousands of users being very satisfied. Although its camera is just 5 MP, the phone is still the best overall package. Its worth to compromise over the camera.

 2. Micromax Canvas Turbo:

If you don’t want to buy Moto G for any reason, say you want a better camera, then the Canvas Turbo is another great choice for you. This is a real beauty from Micromax. The phone looks good, feels great and performs amazingly well. Also, it feels lighter in the hands than other phones. After its launch few months back, the phone has become very popular around the range of 18,000 Rs. But now after the launch of Canvas Knight, the price of Turbo has been significantly reduced to 14 thousands. And at this price point, it has amazing specifications and excellent performance.

 3. Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro:

Many people find it difficult to buy Moto G or phones from Micromax and other Indian brands because they are concerned with the after sales service. And there is no doubt, Samsung and Nokia excels in the customer service department and that is the reason, people have strong trust on these brands. The Grand Quattro is there in the market for a long time now and is very successful. If you want a very reliable brand with good performance and an overall package then this is the one.

5. LG L70 Dual:

LG has found it difficult to survive in this great competition of smartphones and just when we thought its getting out of the mid ranges smartphone market, it has launched two good devices the LG L70 and LG L90 both running on the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The LG L70 is an extremely good looking and attractive device with nice design and build. But, it has got a Dual Core processor which is poorest in this list. The other specs are okay but, you should buy this phone only if you usage is low and if your usage is heavy and you like this phone too much then go for LG L90 which is powerful but priced above 16,000 Rs.

Hi, just for the better camera you should go with Micromax Canvas Turbo. If you need a phone with overall very good performance and best user experience go for the Moto G. But if you want bigger hardware go for the Canvas Turbo.

    Hi buddy,
I like the specs of Xolo q3000. but i have read some reviews complaining of some problems with network or tethering. Also cam quality is poor they say. I am ok if the picture quality is as good as a normal 8mp cam. But i don’t want to compromise with battery and RAM(1.5GB plus). So will it be a good buy under 15000/- ? or you suggest any other phone with a decent battery and 1.5gb plus RAM?

    Hello Rahul,

Even I feel that Moto G is the best phone under 15000. But there are some bugs in the new update (4.4 Kitkat) relating to WIFI & Network connectivity issues.
Please tell me if the company has sorted out these issues & is it still safe to buy this phone.

    Cheers,

    Maitreya

    • May 24, 2014 at 10:45 pm

Hey, I am also using the phone from months, I have not observed any bug related to WiFi, it is absoltely safe to buy the phone. And can you tell me exactly which bug you are talking about.

      • May 25, 2014 at 11:13 am

I have studied the threads on the forum, you need not to worry about it too much the issue might not be with every phone, if you will use single sim you are unlikely to face any problem.

Hi, rahul its me sujit,i want to choose a phone range below 16000, i have option moto g and xperia c,i want to go
to xperia c but in most of your comment you have written moto g so what is more feature in moto g comparison to
    sony xperia c.

    • May 23, 2014 at 1:00 am

      Hi Sujit,

Both the phones are equally good. What matters is the screen size and storage, if you want bigger screen and expandable storage the Xperia C is a very good buy else the Moto G is great. But, as you are already interested to buy the Xperia C, go for it, it is a very good phone and will not disappoint you.
