The day is finally here! The technology giant, Apple is all set to launch its 4-inch iPhone SE and 9.7 inch iPad Pro model today, at its corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California. It is also said that the company will also launch some new Apple Watch accessories at the event.
As far as rumors are concerned, the Apple iPhone SE (Special Edition) may sport a 4 inch display and will look-alike the iPhone 5S. The innards of the phone will be similar to the iPhone 6s, as it will be powered by Apple’s A9 processor with 1 GB RAM. It might sport a 12 megapixel rear camera, that will support 4K video recording and will be backed by 1642mAh battery. It may be offered in 16 GB and 64 GB storage variants.
The iPhone SE is also said to come with Touch ID fingerprint sensor and Near Field Communication (NFC) chip for Apple Pay support along with features like Live Photos, though it will miss the 3D touch feature of iPhone 6s. It is expected to pack EarPods along with a lightning USB cable in the box. It will be offered in the same colours iPhone 6s has been offered.
As for the price, analyst Ming Chi Kuo at KGI Securities claims the iPhone SE will be priced between $400-$500 (approx. Rs. 27,500 and 34,500).
Moving on to the iPad Pro, it will have a 9.7-inch display with improved power and memory, quad stereo speakers, and updated display technology to support Apple’s stylus, the Apple Pencil. There is no info on the price of iPad Pro yet.
