Asus unveils new lineup of PCs powered by Intel’s Kaby Lake processor

Besides Lenovo, Asus too has announced updates to most of its major laptops, 2-in-1, and desktop product lines at the pre-CES 2017 event at Las Vegas. The new models are incorporated with Intel’s latest Kaby Lake processor for better performance, battery life, and efficiency gains.

The refreshed product portfolio includes new Asus ZenBook models, a new Transformer Pro 2-in-1, and three new versions of its Zen AIO all-in-one desktop. Also included in the update is Asus GT51CH gaming desktop, which now comes with the 7th Gen Intel chip.

Kaby Lake processors are the latest offering by Intel, which are essentially a modified version of the 6th Gen Skylake processors. Though, the latest processors offer only incremental upgrades, they do offer noticeable boosts and double-digit percentage increase in web performance and applications. Intel claims that Kaby Lake is 10 times more efficient than the company’s first-gen processor, whereas Skylake was about 8 times more efficient.

Besides the 7th Gen Intel Kaby Lake processors, there are some upgrades in the GPU and display as well. The Asus ZenBook UX510 now comes with a 15.6-inch 4K display and better Nvidia graphics than the UX330. The ZenBook Flip, on the other hand, is the only 2-in-1 model in the ZenBook series that’s receiving Intel’s new processor.

The Asus Zenbook UX310 is priced at $699 (approx. Rs. 47,600), the 13.3-inch Zenbook UX330 is priced starting at $749 (approx. Rs. 51,000) and the ZenBook UX510 is priced at $999 (approx. Rs. 68,100). All of these are available in the market already.
