Asus Zenfone 2 Launched: Price starting at Rs. 12,999; Up for Pre-orders on Flipkart
As expected, Asus today launched the highly anticipated Zenfone 2 series smartphones in India. The Zenfone 2 series has 4 models starting from Rs. 12,999 and ranging till Rs. 22,999.
The most eye-catching feature of the Asus Zenfone 2 is that it’s top model comes with 4 GB RAM (Well I am quite embarrassed to write that as, one of my laptops still run on dual core processor with 2 GB RAM!)
The Zenfone 2 has basically two models ZE550ML & ZE551ML. The Zenfone 2 ZE550ML is the cheapest and has the lowest specs (2 GB RAM, HD display, 16 GB internal storage, 1.8 GHz Processor). While the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML has 3 variants which all come with Full HD screen but have differences in processor speed, RAM and internal storage. Asus Zenfone 2 has another variant ZE500CL with 5 inches screen but the company has not launched this model in India.
The Zenfone 2 series smartphones run on the 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core processors, with different clock speed for different variants. All of them sport a 5.5 inches screen with HD or Full HD resolution depending upon the price of the models. All of them come with 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 5 MP front camera, dual-SIM, 4G LTE and 3000 mAh battery. All of them have expandable storage but the internal memory ranges between 16/32/64 GB for different models. All Zenfone 2 variants run on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with a customized Asus Zen UI.
The phone will be available online exclusively on Flipkart where the pre-orders have already started with exciting launch offers. Asus also plans to bring the phone in offline stores like the previous Zenfone Series phones.

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML – Price 22,999 (2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 4 GB of RAM, Full HD display, 64 GB internal storage)
