Intex ELYT-e1, 4G smartphone with 2 GB RAM and 8 MP front camera launched at Rs. 6,999

Intex, increasing its catalogue of budget smartphones has launched its new ELYT-e1. ‘ELYT’ is a new series from Intex under which ELYT-e1 is the first smartphone. It is yet another budget smartphone from the company which comes with 4G VoLTE support and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 6,999 and will be available for sale through offline retail stores.

Specifications of the smartphone include a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with 294 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it has got a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Going towards the imaging capabilities, the ELYT-e1 has got an 8 MP camera both on the rear and on the front. Both the cameras are equipped with LED flash as well. For connectivity, the smartphone comes with dual-sim support, 4G V0LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Radio, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack. The device holds a 2,200 mAh battery to power itself. The on board sensors include Gravity Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Fingerprint Sensor along with features like Gesture control and Emergency Rescue.

Talking about the design, the smartphone comes with a brushed metallic finished back cover with a fingerprint scanner placed just below the rear camera. Apart from this, the design is quite regular with volume and power buttons on the side and capacitive navigation buttons. The smartphone measures 142.4 x 71.5 x 8.7 mm and weights 145 gm.
