Karbonn Sparkle V is one among the 3 Google Android One phones (other two are Micromax Canvas A1 & Spice Dream Uno) launched in September. It offers the excellence of the Android One platform that is the pure Android Experience with latest Android Updates and smooth performance without bloatwares.

The Karbonn Sparkle V runs on the 1.3 GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6582 Processor. It has 1 GB RAM. Performance wise the phone is good and you can enjoy a lag free experience while using the phone.

The Karbonn Sparkle V sports a 4.5 inches IPS LCD screen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution which gives the pixel density of 218 ppi, which is good at this price. The display is bright and clear and the viewing angles are also good.

The phone has a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera and you also get an LED Flash. Both the cameras are good. But one thing you need to click images is the external memory card. The phone has 4 GB internal memory which is used for installing apps and to save your camera photos and videos, you will need an external memory card. Well, its not a big deal as the microSD cards are available at really cheap prices.

The phone being produced under the eye of Google and under the Android One project, has a pure Android experience and has stock Android UI with minimum bloatwares. This makes the phone fast and lag free. It runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and will continue to get the future Android updates just like the Nexus devices. Even though you might not be after the latest Android updates but, it is very beneficial if your phone has updated software. First of all, it removes all the bugs which might has been present in your phone so, your phone can become fast. And with latest updates, comes a new design which makes your phone fresh & new so you can always enjoy using your phone instead of buying a new one.

The phone supports dual SIM Cards, it possess almost all the essential features. The one area where the phone could have been much better is the battery life. The phone comes with a small 1700 mAh Li-Ion  battery.
