Much awaited HTC Desire 826 launched in India for Rs. 25,990

After teasing of months the Taiwanese smartphone company HTC launched their successor of the DESIRE series in the Indian market on 6th April. It is a mid ranged device and will be available for Rs. 25,990.

Company unveiled the phone in January at CES 2015, since then the Indian fans were waiting to get hands on the phone. It’s not a flagship phone of HTC despite that, it has exceptional features.

The page listing the Desire 826 on HTC’s official website says “Reimagine the possibilities” and that is what they have done with the front camera. This time they didn’t increase the MegaPixel count of the camera but they increased the pixel size, making it two times and named it UltraPixel. It’s actually the same camera which HTC used in the One M8 as the main camera and in the HTC One M9 as the front camera. The camera is just 4 MP but the UltraPixel technology takes really good selfies.

With a massive screen of 5.5 inch don’t worry about pixels, it has a 1080 x 1920 pixels Full HD screen and a very good pixel density of 401 ppi, which means that everything on this display will look beautiful to your eyes.

The phone’s design is much similar to that of the Desire 820 and has the classy look of HTC. The rounded edges provide you more comfort while handling the phone.

With the Desire 826, HTC goes with mainstream chipset and has used the Octa-core snapdragon 615 processor (four 1.7 GHz cores and four 1 GHz cores). The 615 snapdragon processor may not be as good as the present time flagship processors but it is capable of fulfilling all your requirements. Four 1.7 GHZ cores are used for heavier tasks whereas four 1 GHz cores are used for lighter tasks and this chipset also has a adreno 405 GPU for graphics and a RF Front End Solution for seamless communication.

The processor is supported by 2 GB RAM. The internal memory is 16 GB and can be expanded to a whooping 128 GB with the external storage card. The Desire 826 runs on Android Lollipop with the Sense 6 UI running on top of it. It comes with useful HTC softwares such as HTC blinkfeed, ZOE.

The phone is equipped with HTC boom sound technology which has the HTC audio enhancement setup and DOLBY audio processing. It results in superb sound quality and lots of different sound modes.

The built-in amps assure that you will get amazing sound experience with earphones on or with the phone’s inbuilt speakers. The phone is available in white birch, blue lagoon, purple fire and

The phone’s battery is non removable, noticing a 5.5 inch screen and the performance, it will be interesting to see how its battery performs.
