Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) with Smart Glow and 4G LTE launched at Rs. 9,750
Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy J2 (2016) smartphone in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 9,750 and will go on sale on July 14 via online as well as offline retailers.
The USP of the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) is the new Smart Glow feature and Turbo Speed Technology (TST). The Smart Glow feature consist an LED ring around the camera that can be configured by users to display priority notifications of different colors, based on the type of notifications such as phone call, e-mail, text message etc. The company also claims that the Turbo Speed Technology (TST) can superior the device performance including native apps loading up to 40% faster than devices with double the RAM.
On the hardware front, the Galaxy J2 (2016) features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 Pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor, coupled with Mali-400MP2 GPU and 1.5GB RAM. It offers 8GB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB with microSD and is backed by a 2600mAh battery. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. It comes in Gold, Silver and Black color variants.
