WhatsApp finally rolls out New Emoji update for Android

by Best Tech Guru TeamFebruary 12, 2016

WhatsApp users on Android have a reason to smile, as the messenger service has finally started rolling out its update with new Emojis.

The new update will now bring eight tabs of emojis to WhatsApp instead of five. The new emojis include things like middle finger, upside-down face, spider, popcorn, burrito, racing cars, medals and many more. These emojis were earlier available for iOS and web users only.

Though, currently the latest update is not available in India, we expect it to be available very soon on Play Store with the version 2.12.441. But for those who cannot wait, you can simply head to Android Police, download .apk files from apkmirror and install the same over your existing app.

In its last update, WhatsApp has increases the number of people from 100 to 256 in groups. The company also recently announced that it has now 1 billion active users and over 42 billion messages are sent every day.
