Xiaomi Mi 5 to launch in India on March 31st
At the launch of Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi had announced that the Mi 5 will be launched in India within a month. Now the company has sent out the press invites for the Mi 5 launch, that is scheduled for March 31st.
The Mi 5 was first showcased at MWC event last month, with specs like 5.15-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 16 MP rear camera, 4 MP front camera, Fingerprint scanner, and Infrared sensor. It comes in two RAM variants: 3 GB RAM with 32 GB and 64 GB storage options, while 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage variant.
The Mi 5 launch event will kick off on Thursday at 2.30 PM in New Delhi, and the smartphone is expected to go on sale from early April. Xiaomi President Bin Lin had recently revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be priced between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 27,000. However, the confirmed prices will be known at the launch event only.
