Xiaomi Redmi 4 to be available for sale via offline retail stores in India

After selling at a wide pace via online means, Xiaomi has now made its Redmi 4 smartphone available through offline stores as well. Redmi 4 was launched in India back in May and was exclusively available via Amazon and Mi.com. The smartphone instantly became popular amongst the buyers similar to other budget smartphones from Xiaomi.

The company apparently confirmed to Gadgets360, that the Redmi 4 will now be sold via offline stores in India. To recall, the smartphone was launched in three different variants i.e  one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, priced at Rs. 6,999, another with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, priced at Rs. 8,999 and finally the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage variant, priced at Rs. 10,999.

The offline availability of Redmi 4 was first reported by 91 Mobiles where the prices were shown Rs. 500 more than the online price of the smartphone. Xiaomi at present, is unable to confirm the offline prices for the smartphone as, it might certainly vary depending upon the retailer.

The Redmi 4 sports a 5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone comes with 2/3/4 GB RAM along with 16/32/64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.0 on top.

The imaging department of Redmi 4 includes a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF and LED Flash. The smartphone also holds a 5 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture for better selfies in low light. The Redmi 4 packs a massive 4,100 mAh battery which is claimed to keep the smartphone running for more than a day.

For connectivity, there is Dual sim support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Redmi 4 comes with a fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster which turns your smartphone into a remote controller for the IR based home devices like AC, TV, set top box, etc. The smartphone measures 139.24 x 69.96 x 8.65 mm and weighs 150 g.
