10 Best Android Phones under 10000 Rs (November 2015)
6. Samsung Galaxy On7:
To regain its lost grounds in the budget segment, Samsung has launched its new Galaxy On5 and On7 in India. The Galaxy On7 is the more powerful out of the two and makes a better prosoposition so let’s talk about it. Starting with the design, the Galaxy On7 has the typical Samsung design with plastic build. It has a leather like textured back panel and beautiful metal-like plastic edges on the sides, the build quality is decent. It sports a 5.5 inches TFT screen with HD resolution, turning out a 267 ppi pixel density. The display quality is decent but far better displays are available at this price. The Galaxy On7 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad Core Processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and gives a good lag free performance. It features a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera and like other Samsung phones, the picture quality of both the cameras is good. The phone runs on Android v5.1 with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI running on top of it. Samsung has revamped the Touchwiz UI, it is now optimized, looks beautiful and comes with less bloatwares. The phone supports 4G on both the sim slots. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage which should have been atleast 16 GB, however it is expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card. A good thing about the phone is its big 3000 mAh removable battery, the phone is not very resource intensive and thus it delivers good battery backup. Overall, the Galaxy On7 packs all the necessary features but it is far behind from what the competition is offering at the same price but, it still can be a good choice if you specially want a Samsung phone for its reliability and after sales service. The Galaxy On5 priced at Rs. 8,999 has same design but comes with a smaller 5 inches screen, 8 MP camera & 2600 mAh battery, it can be a good choice if you are looking for a 5 inches phone. If you increase your budget a little the Galaxy J5 will be a better choice.

7. Meizu M2 Note:
Meizu, another Chinese brand which recently entered in India, has upgraded its M1 Note with the new M2 Note. The new phone packs some great specs at a very low price. Design wise the phone looks good and pretty much inspired by the iPhone 5C. It runs on the 64-bit 1.3GHz MT6753 octa core Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and has a very good performance. It has a 5.5 inches Full HD screen with 403 ppi pixel density which is great. It has a 13 MP rear camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture, 5-element lens, 4X digital zoom, 300° panoramic lens, Blue glass IR filter and Dual LED flash, it is capable of clicking 30 photos per second. The 5 MP front camera comes with ƒ/2.0 aperture, 4-element lens, 69° wide angle and Face AE face light boost. The quality of both the cameras is good, the phone camera is very fast and clicks images instantly without any shutter lags. It runs Flyme 4.5 OS on top of the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Flyme OS looks beautiful and comes with many features and options for customizations. The phone comes with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 128 GB. It supports Dual sim and 4G. The 3100 mAh battery gives the phone a good battery backup. The phone looks great and is powerful enough to give a tough competition to the most popular phones like the Asus Zenfone 2, Xiaomi Mi 4i, Lenovo K3 Note & Yureka Plus but, other companies have better established themselves in India. Overall, the Meizu M2 Note with its excellent features and powerful specs, is a very good package to go for.
[section label=”8. Moto G (2nd Gen)”]
8. Moto G (2nd Gen) (LTE):
Most brands and phones in this range are running behind specs but there is one company which is still offering great value – it is Motorola whose phones don’t boast great specs but on the contrary deliver a great user experience and satisfaction. The Moto G (2nd Gen) still offers some great values in the crowd of smartphones with great specs. Motorola has recently updated the Moto G (2nd Gen) with bigger 2390 mAh battery and 4G support. It sports a 5-inch HD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-Core processor and 1 GB RAM. It comes with water-resistant nano coating and supports Dual Sim. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out of the box which is now upgradable to Android v5.0 Lollipop. Not to forget that it has the stock Android UI which delivers the pure Android experience. With the Moto G you can always get the future Android updates faster than the flagship phones. It has a 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. Well the camera quality can’t match many phones in this list but it’s still decent. It has 16 GB internal & 32 GB of expandable storage. It has excellent build quality and smooth performance. Another advantage to buy the Moto G is that, it is a very popular phone globally and it is always there in the news so, it will always get the attention of the developers and the company. Overall, if you are a person who likes quality over quantity then this is the one, it may not have the strongest specs but, it still has decent features and gives a great user experience. Also, if you like the Moto G (2nd Gen), it will be a good idea to increase your budget by 3,000 Rs. and go with the latest Moto G (3rd Gen) with 2 GB RAM, 13+5 megapixel cameras & it is also water-resistant.
[alert variation=”alert-error”]Comparison: Moto G (2nd Gen) Vs Galaxy Grand Max : Detailed Comparison[/alert] [section label=”9. Huawei Honor 4X”]
9. Huawei Honor 4X:
Huawei (no. 2 in China) is now a more serious player in the Indian smartphone market. It has launched very exciting phones in many ranges. And the most recent is the Honor 4X which is launched at 10,000 Rs. The phone packs very exciting specifications. It runs on the 64-bit Quad Core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM, which gives good performance and handles most of the tasks effectively. Still, if you need a phone for gaming, it will be good to go with the Yureka Plus or the K3 Note. It has the 5.5 inches screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, it is not great but its acceptable considering the overall features at this price. The design of the phone is simple but it feels good, the textured back panel of the phone gives a very good grip. It has got 13 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras and both the cameras are good. The USP of the phone is that it has Dual Sim and both the Sim can support 4G LTE. It has got 8 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. It sports a 3000 mAh battery which delivers very good battery backup. Overall, it is a very good phone and can be another good choice at this price. Huawei has launched another variant of the Honor 4X known as Honor 4C which comes with Octa Core processor, it can also be a good choice if you want a 5 inches phone.
[alert variation=”alert-error”]Comparison: Honor 4X Vs Yu Yureka Vs Redmi Note 4G: Which is the Best?[/alert] [section label=”10. Lava Pixel V1″]
10. Lava Pixel V1 (Android One 2.0):
The Pixel V1 is Lava’s first Android One phone and it is the first phone among the 2nd generation of Android One phones in India. FYI, last year Google in partnership with local manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn & Spice launched its Android One program in India, which has the motive to provide a pure Android experience with decent hardware certified by Google itself and regular Android updates at a very low price. Although the 1st generation Android One phones didn’t received a huge response. The Lava Pixel V1 is much improved over the early Android One phones. It has a simple design but decent build quality, it has a 76.3% screen-to-body ratio which makes the phone compact, also, it weighs just 135 grams. It packs a bigger 5.5 inches HD display with 267 ppi pixel density, the display quality is decent. The screen is protected by Dragontrail Glass from Asahi. It runs on 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor coupled with 2 GB RAM, it delivers decent day-to-day performance but it isn’t built for heavy usage. The phone runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 with stock Android UI and the best part of Android One is that, you get guaranteed upgrade to the latest Android OS for the next 2 years. The Pixel V1 has a 13 MP BSI rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P Largan lens and blue glass filter, the picture quality is good. Interestingly, it has 8 MP BSI front camera with f/2.4 aperture, 4P Largan lens and blue glass filter. It comes with 32 GB internal storage which is also expandable upto 32 GB. It supports dual sim but misses out on 4G. The 2650 mAh battery gives decent battery life to the phone. Overall, it is a good phone and packs some interesting features but the competition is fierce, you can get the Moto G (3rd Gen) at around the same price which delivers the same pure Android Experience in a better manner but, it still can be a good buying choice. Lava has also launched the Pixel V2 with 8MP front camera and front flash.
[section label=”11. InFocus M530″] [alert variation=”alert-success”]It would have been unfair if I didn’t include the InFocus M530 in this list so, for the first time I have included 11th phone in our list :)[/alert]
11. InFocus M530:
The American company InFocus has recently entered in India with some of the high specced quality smartphones. The M530 is one among those, looks wise it is decent, it has metallic bezels and the back panel has soft matte finish although, the phone is little bulky weighing 176 grams. It has 5.5 inches screen with HD display, the display quality is decent. The phone is powered by 2 GHz MediaTek MT6595 Octa Core Processor coupled with 2GB RAM and has good performance. The phone runs on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The speciality of the phone lies in the camera department. It has a 13 MP rear and a whooping 13 MP front camera as well, both the rear and the front cameras come with LED flash. The rear camera comes with f/1.8 aperture, OIS & Dual Tone LED flash and has decent picture quality while the 13 MP front camera comes with f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens and Soft LED flash which is great, it completely wins over the competition. No other phone gives a 13 MP front camera at this price. It has 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable. The phone supports dual sim and 4G. The 3100 mAh Li-ion battery gives a good battery life. Overall, specifications wise this is a very good smartphone, it has a decent real world performance also but, there are many other phones which deliver the same specs (except front camera) with a better package and the company also needs to settle down in India to provide a better overall customer experience, still it can be a good choice if you like the phone.

How important is the Corning Gorilla glass protection? I have almost finalized on the Lenovo K3 Note, but the one thing which is holding me back is that the phone has no screen protection. I dont use my phone very roughly, but have dropped my earlier phones at times. I dont want the screen to crack very soon. Should I go for the Asus ZE551ML by paying Rs 3k more just for the additional screen protection?
I am very keen on 5.5 inches screen, 2GB and above RAM and Android V5.0 with expandable memory. I use the phone only for calling and internet access. Not an avid gamer.
I also have the same confusion. Can someone suggest how’s the built quality of Lenova k3 note. Is Corning Gorilla glass protection very important?

I bought lenovo k3 note, but now facing a problem of heating, any suggestion about this?

Hi Rahul, one of my friend is planning to buy a good looking phone under 8k& asking for my advice on lenovo cibe p1m, samsung galaxy on7/on5, or oppo phones. He has concerns over after sale services in Bengaluru
Hi, among the phones mentioned above, the Galaxy On7 will be the best choice.
Yureka Plus or Coolpad Note 3, which one is better?
Hi, Yureka Plus is a better overall package but if you like the Coolpad Note 3 you can go with it for its better specs and fingerprint sensor.
Hi,Rahul. I am confused !!!!!!!!!!!!! which phone i should buy lenovo K3 or Xolo X1. Please tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, if you want a 5.5 inches phone go with K3 Note, if you need a little smaller phone go with Xolo Black 1X, also K3 Note is a better package if you compare the two phones.
sir, Overall which one is best. Lenovo K3 Note or yu ureka plus?
Hi, Lenovo k3 is just a little better.
Hi, I have read some reviews on gamimg performance of lenovo k3 note and those weren’t good. Another phone that I have in my wishlist is lava iris x8. So, it would be great if you could tell me which is best in every aspect( including aftersale service). Thanks.
Ps- my preference is a phone with good gaming performance that can play games like asphalt 8 without any lag and have a good battery life.
Hi, for your requirements, Lenovo K3 Note is much better than Lava Iris X8. Lenovo K3 Note can play heavy games smoothly most of the times, but you can get ocassional lags also. Its battery life is decent but not the best at this price. Still for your requirements it will be the right choice or else go with the Yureka Plus.
Overall which one is best. Lenovo K3 Note or Xolo 1X?
Hi, if you see as an overall package, the Lenovo K3 Note is better and that’s why it is on the first sport in our list.
Thnaks
is the battery life of xolo 1x is sufficient for day to day life?
Hi, yes it will take you through the day for normal usage.
Hi rahul,i want to buy a new mobile for my sister so plz tel me which one is the right.
i think you should buy coolpad note 3 it’s extra to other phone
Hi, you can go with any of the top phones like the Lenovo K3 Note, if you want a phone with better after sales service, you can go with the newly launched Samsung Galaxy on7.
