Apple likely to unveil new MacBooks at ‘hello again’ event on 27th October

After launching Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple watch Series 2, the California-based company has now sent out official invites for an event on Thursday, October 27th at the Apple Campus in Cupertino. The event will kickstart at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST, 1 PM ET) and will also be streamed live.

The invitation image reads only “hello again” with the Apple logo and date and time of the event. However, as per the reports surfacing around, Apple will most likely update its MacBook Pro lineup. Last year’s 12-inch MacBook update was the only completely new designed laptop since the 2012 MacBook Pro. Along with the new generation of MacBook Pro, there is a strong chance that the MacBook and MacBook Air lineups will also be refreshed.

It is expected that the new MacBook Pros will be deprived of the traditional USB ports, MagSafe and Thunderbolt 2. The new MacBook Pro lineups are tipped to come with Touch ID and new OLED touch display instead of the standard function keys at the top of the keyboard. Talking about MacBook Air, Apple might kill the 11-inch variant in favour of the 13-inch with addition of USB-C support.

So, Apple fans can once again rejoice with new Apple products on the cards. It will be interesting to see which products will be unveiled at the event. Stay tuned for more updates!
