Best Upcoming Smartphones in September 2016

August was a decent month for smartphone enthusiasts, as we saw some great phones like Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Huawei P9, Asus Zenfone 3 series were launched. But September is the month, tech lovers look forward to, as most of the companies unveil their flagship demons at the IFA event, which is held in Berlin, Germany every year during the first week. So which phones are expected to be launched globally? How many of them are going to hit the stores? Which phones are coming to India this month? What September 2016 is holding for us? Let’s, take a look at the Best Upcoming Smartphones in September 2016.

1. Apple iPhone 7:

From past few years, Apple has been following the tradition to launch a new iPhone in the month of September, and this year won’t be any different as the Cupertino-based company has announced an event for September 7th. The Apple iPhone 7 is said to be launched in three variants this year namely, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro with upgraded Apple A10 chip. The iPhone 7 Pro is said to be top end variant which may feature the dual rear camera, while the other two are expected to sport single rear camera.

Some rumors also suggest that Apple may skip the 3.5mm jack for the iPhone 7, and will rely on the lightning connector and Bluetooth wireless headphones for audio output. It will most probably come with Force Touch display. Also, iPhone 7 will be launched in three storage variants – 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB and the 16 GB variant is expected to be ditched.

2. LG V20:

LG has already announced that it will unveil the LG V20 on September 6th in San Francisco, USA and it will be the first smartphone to be released with Android 7.0 Nougat, which later was also confirmed by Google. Unfortunately, there are no leaks of this smartphone yet regarding its design or specifications, but it is said to sport a 5.7-inch QHD display, while the 2.1-inch of a secondary display. The modular smartphone is expected to pack a Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB/6GB RAM, 32/64/128 GB storage variant.

v20-render-1The LG V20 is also rumored to have a 20-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera and may pack a huge 4000mAh battery. Hopefully, we will get to know more about the smartphone at the launch event.

3. Sony Xperia XR:

Sony Xperia XR is expected to launch at IFA 2016 which is to be held from 2nd – 7th September this year. As per the rumors, it could sport a 5.1-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, Android 6.0, 23 MP rear camera, 13MP front camera, and fingerprint sensor. It could measure 146.4 x 71.9 x 8.1mm and will feature a USB Type-C port.

The Japanese company may also launch the Sony X Compact which is said to feature a 4.6-inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC, either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, USB Type-C port, and a 2700mAh battery.

4. Moto Z Play:

The Moto Z Play is most probably a modular smartphone which is rumored to be launched at IFA 2016. The smartphone may feature 5.5 FHD display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, 16MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint sensor and a 3300mAh battery.

The company may also launch the Moto E3 Power which could sport 5-inch HD IPS display, powered by 1GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a 3500mAh battery.

5. Xiaomi Mi Note 2:

Although no official launch date has been announced yet, it is strongly believed that the Mi Note 2 will get launched on September 2. The Mi Note 2 may sport a 5.5-inch curved QHD display, Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI 8.6.826. It may come with metal body and dual rear camera.mi-note-2_1The Mi Note is expected to be available in three storage variants viz. 4GB RAM with 32GB storage, 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage costing 2,499 yuan (approx. Rs. 25,200), 2,999 yuan (approx. Rs. 30,000), and 3,499 yuan (approx. Rs. 35,400) respectively.
