Flipkart to launch its own smartphone brand and its first phone ‘Billion Capture+’ with dual cameras on Nov 15

After launching various sub brands under its name, Flipkart has now launched a smartphone brand, named ‘Billion’. The e-commerce brand already has ‘Smartbuy’ under which it sells products in the fashion, electronics, and home categories. Flipkart has now confirmed the launch of its ‘Billion Capture+’ smartphone in India on November 15.

The phone named ‘Capture+’ is the first mobile from the e-commerce giant & will be a made in India smartphone. The dedicated page of the smartphone highlights some interesting features of the phone. It will have a dual camera setup which is currently the trend. The page also reveals that the cameras will be able to get super night shots and will be able to click pictures with bokeh effect.

The page also reveals that the phone will have a full HD screen and it will run on latest Android Nougat. Flipkart also hinted that the phone will support fast charging and a superior processor. Flipkart is also offering unlimited cloud storage for users primarily for their photos.

The dedicated page also confirms rounded edges on the smartphone and a metal body. Flipkart is also promoting the number of after sales service centres. The brand will have 130 service centers across 125 cities and towns. Exact specifications of the phone are stil unknown. Billion is backed by Flipkart Assurance program, which guarantee that product is passed through various 6 level checkpoints. The phone will launch on November 15.
