Gionee has launched three new smartphones, known as Gionee F100, F103B, and S5, in China. All these smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.1 UI on top.
The Gionee F100 features a 5-inch IPS screen with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera.
The F100 smartphone is packed with a 2,400mAh battery that is rated to deliver 18 hours of talk time and lasts up to 279 hours on standby. Connectivity options of the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and microUSB 2.0 port. It measures 143.7 x 70.5 x 8.1 mm and weighs 151 grams.
The Gionee F103B is almost similar to the Gionee F100, except the camera sensors. It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has interchangeable back covers with a textured finish that makes it look different from Gionee F100.
The Gionee S5 comes with a 5.3-inch HD (1280 X 720) IPS display. It is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. It boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The S5 is an all metal unibody smartphone that sports a fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 2900mAh battery. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
However, there is no word on the global roll out of these smartphones yet.
