September! What a month it has been for gadget freaks. First IFA Berlin, followed by Apple’s event and now the Google’s event to end the month. Today, Google has finally launched their much-rumored Nexus smartphones at an event in San Francisco. Google surely seemed to have taken consumers need into their account and that’s why they have launched two Nexus smartphones – LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P in hope to satisfy different needs of different consumers.
The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P both are distinct from each other, though they have some similarities. So first let’s check out the similar specs of the phones.
Both the flagship phones are the first ones to come up with the all new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The new Android 6.0 comes with many new features like Now on Tap, Voice interactions, App linking, etc. Its Doze feature helps users to save battery power of the phone by cutting down background activity after a set period of idle time. The smartphones also comes with Type-C USB port for faster charging and data transfer.
The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P come with Nexus Imprint, a fingerprint scanner. The Nexus Imprint requires less than 600 milliseconds to recognize a fingerprint, and improves with each use. The new sensor is open to the entire ecosystem, allowing easy verification within third-party apps.
Another common feature of both the smartphones is the 12.3 megapixel rear camera. The Sony made sensor has 1.55μm pixels with laser autofocus, and 4K video recording capabilities. The cameras are focused to perform well in low light conditions and can also record the slow motion videos at 120 fps. The camera of both the phones can be activated by double tap on the power button.
