Honor 8 Pro with 5.7-inch QHD display, 6 GB RAM and dual rear cameras launched in India at Rs. 29,999

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, being on schedule has launched its Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone was first launched in China by the name Honor V9 and holds some worthy specifications. The Honor 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,999 and will be exclusively available on Amazon from 10th July 6 pm for the Prime members in Prime day sale and will go for open sale from 13th July midnight.

The smartphone also comes with a few launch offers under which the buyers will get 15% cash back on purchase through HDFC debit and credit cards. There is also a provision of no cost EMI of up to 12 months. Apart from this, the buyers will also get 45 GB 4G data from Vodafone for 5 months at the cost of 1 GB 4G data.

The Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution with a 515 ppi pixel density and 2.5D curved glass on top. It has got a Kirin 960 octa-core processor clocked at 2.4 GHz under the hood. The smartphone comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to another 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0 out of the box.

Camera specifications on the Honor 8 Pro include a Dual camera set-up at rear with 12 MP sensors each, where one is a RGB sensor and another is a monochrome. The rear camera comes with bokeh mode and is also capable of capturing 4K videos with support for wide aperture videos. It has got an 8 MP camera upfront, enough to cater the needs of selfies lovers.

Another highlight of the Honor 8 Pro is that it holds a massive 4,000 mAh battery which is claimed to give up to two days of usage and comes with smart power mode and support for quick charging. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor at the back with quick response time along with an Infrared sensor which helps in controlling the IR based devices from the smartphone itself. The connectivity options include dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5 mm audio port, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams.
