Huawei Nova 2 & Nova 2 Plus with 4 GB RAM, dual rear camera setup & 20 MP front camera launched

Huawei has just announced its Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus smartphones in China. The smartphones come in as camera focused devices with highlight being the dual-rear camera setup and a massive 20 MP front camera. The Nova 2 is priced at 2499 yuan (Rs. 23,510 approx.) and the Nova 2 Plus is priced at 2899 yuan (Rs. 27,275 approx.). The smartphones come in Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold color options and will be available for sale from 16th June in China.

The Huawei Nova 2 sports a 5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass display on top. The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. Nova 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.

The imaging department, which is also the highlight of the smartphone, consists of a dual-rear camera setup with 12 MP sensor and 8 MP sensor each. The rear camera comes with interesting features such as optical zoom and portrait mode. There is also a 20 MP front camera as mentioned earlier to provide the most clear selfie possible.

The smartphone contains a full metal design with a fingerprint scanner on the rear. The device also comes with AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for 3D surround sound experience. Nova 2 packs a 2,950 mAh to power itself along with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / Glonass, USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm audio jack as connectivity options. The smartphone measures 142.2 × 68.9 × 6.9 mm and weighs 143g.

Talking about the Huawei Nova 2 Plus, it sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display along with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The processor and camera specifications of the smartphone are same as that of the Nova 2. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to another 128 GB. The smartphone packs a 3,340 mAh battery and measures 153.9 × 74.9 × 6.9 mm with 169 g of weight.
