Being on schedule, InFocus has launched its Turbo 5 smartphone today in India. As expected, the smartphone comes in as a mid-range device with well-to-do specifications. The smartphone is launched in two different variants, one with 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage priced at Rs. 6,999 and another with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage priced at Rs. 7,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available for sale on Amazon.in starting from 4th July.

Talking about the specifications, the InFocus Turbo 5 sports a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2 GB/ 3 GB RAM and 16 GB/ 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. In the imaging department, the InFocus Turbo 5 holds a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone packs a mammoth 5,000 mAh battery to keep things ticking for a long time. The battery is rated to deliver up to 23 hours of talktime and 34 days of standby time along with 50 hours of continuous music playback, and 23 hours of video calling. The device also comes with reverse charging capabilities so that it can be used as a power bank for charging other devices.

The connectivity options of the smartphone include Dual-sim support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM radio. With these specifications and price tag, the InFocus Turbo 5 gives a direct completion to the budget smartphones from Xiaomi. It could well stand a chance against the current budget king Xiaomi Redmi 4 or the Redmi 4A.
