Just a couple of days ago it was reported that InFocus is all set to launch a new smartphone in India and had sent press invites for the event scheduled on 28th June. At that time, there was not much known about the smartphone but now it seems that the smartphone has already made it to the Amazon listing just ahead of its launch.
The smartphone by the name InFocus Turbo 5 was apparently found listed on e-commerce site Amazon for sale. The listing was first spotted by pricebaba which appears to be pulled off now. However, the source still was able to get their hands on the specifications of the smartphone, smashing the plans of the company to keep it a secret till the phone is launched.
As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is dubbed InFocus Turbo 5 and as per the listing, it sports a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixel) display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
In the imaging department, the InFocus Turbo 5 holds a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. While in the press invites and teasers the company already indicated that the smartphone will come with big battery, now we know that it is indeed going to be a massive one with 5000 mAh capacity. The battery is rated to provide up to 23 hours of talktime and 34 days of standby time making it the premium highlight of InFocus Turbo 5. The connectivity options include, dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB 2.0.
It was assumed that Turbo 5 will be another mid-range smartphone from the company and looking at the specifications, it probably appears to be a more or less mid-range device. With these specifications, it could very well stand a chance against the current budget king Xiaomi Redmi 4A if the smartphone is priced accordingly.
