iPhone 6 Review: Should you buy it or not?

The iPhone 6 is launching in India on 17th October and there is hardly any time left to decide whether to go for it or give it a miss and look for any other flagship phone this Diwali. There are number of excellent flagship phones out there in the market and also the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be launching in 2-3 days, this obviously raises the question ” Should I buy the iPhone 6/6+ or go with the more powerful Android phones?”. Let’s find out the answer.

There are 3 things you might have noticed about the iPhone 6 – It has huge fan following, it looks great and its expensive!

Apple is the vision of Steve Jobs and is the pioneer and a great leader in Technology. From a long time the company has made those things possible which you would have never imagined. They don’t only have the latest and greatest technologies but they know what people want and delivers the best user experience with their gadgets and technologies. The vision of Apple rather Steve Jobs has helped so many people in making their lives greater and that has left an undying impression in their heart, in an extent such that people are crazy for their devices and they stand in queues for days to get the new iPhone.

Its not only the magic of the company but the iPhones or let’s talk about the iPhone 6 here, is truly great in itself and offers so much excellence that any one can fall in love with it.

Iphone 6 back

The most talked about feature of the iPhone 6 is that it is bigger now – The iPhone 6 has 4.7 inches screen & The iPhone 6 Plus has the 5.5 inches screen. Well, these screen sizes are very familiar and normal for the Android users but they are certainly a big deal for the iPhone users as the previous iPhones have come with the maximum screen size of 4 inches. And by the virtue of the big screen sizes, Apple has come in line with the great Android Phones. Also, the iPhone 6 & 6Plus are not only bigger but they are also slimmer than ever with the iPhone 6 measuring 6.9 mm & the iPhone 6 Plus 7.1 mm, this makes the phones easier to use with one hands.

When it comes to the design of the its absolutely amazing like always, and the build quality is solid and sturdy. With the aluminium body, the phone offers the metallic finish which is great to feel in the hands, its an absolute delight!

Specifications can’t exactly tell how good a phone is. The iPhone is the perfect example for it.

The iPhone 6 & 6 Plus have the specifications which will not look the best when compared with the great Android Phones like the Note 4, LG G3, Xperia Z3 but its certainly has a very fast and smooth performance. It has the 64-bit Apple A8 Processor which is Dual-core and clocked at 1.4 GHz. Also, it has only 1 GB of RAM. This numbers look fairly small but not in performance, the processor is powerful and the phone runs very smoothly and you can even experience high-end gaming.

Both the phones have HD Retina Display. The iPhone 6 has the 1334×750 resolution which seems a little less but the phone has very good display.  On the other hand the iPhone 6 Plus has the 1920×1080 which is great. Both the phones have good visibility on direct sunlight also.

It has an 8 MP camera but it is improved greatly from the iPhone 5S. Both the phone have the iSight camera which has a new sensor with Focus Pixels and new video features, like 1080p HD at 60 fps, slow-mo at 240 fps, and time-lapse video mode. The iPhone 6 Plus camera also has an added benefit with Optical Image Stabalization but, its missing in the smaller iPhone 6. But, in short, the iPhone 6 & 6 Plus have very advanced and very good cameras, which are among the best phone cameras in the world.

The iPhone 6 & 6 Plus run on the latest iOS 8 which was there in the news for many bugs but, with updates Apple has sorted most of them. The iOS 8 is a beautiful operating system, which is very simple and easy to use than the Android OS.

The iPhone 6 & 6 Plus don’t have a really great battery life but they can well run throughout the day which is sufficient. The iPhone 6 Plus has an even better battery life with bigger battery.

The iPhone 6 & 6 Plus have many more features like the Finger Print scanner, Touch ID, Apple Pay (which is useless for Indian Users) etc. So, now let’s come to few direct questions:

Should I buy the iPhone 6 or the 6 Plus?:

The iPhone 6 will be a right choice because the 4.7 inches screen will be good to use with one hand and it will deliver a more comfortable user experience. But, if you watch movies or videos more often the 6 Plus will be better for you, it will deliver better multimedia experience. Also, if you really need Optical Image Stabilization the 6 Plus is the obvious choice. Overall, the iPhone 6 will be better choice for most users.

Should I buy the iPhone 6 or the Android Flagship Phones?

The iPhones and Android Phones both are great but they have a fundamental difference of the Operating System. The iOS is very beautiful, simple and easy to use and on the other hand Android is very customizable and you can do more with Android and use it the way you want. Well, its a big debate and both types of phones have their plus points. In short, if you need a very good design and great user experience go with the iPhone and if you need more power and great freedom go with Android phones.
