The Chinese brand, Meizu has finally launched their flagship smartphone Meizu MX5 in India two moths after debuting in China. The Meizu MX5 is priced at Rs 19,999 and will be available exclusive through online retailer Snapdeal from today 2 pm onwards.
The Meizu MX5 flaunts a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) super AMOLED display with a pixel density at 401 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood it has MediaTek’s Helio X10 octa-core 64 bit chipset which offers Cortex-A53 cores set at 2.2 GHz, the processor is coupled with Power VR G6200 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. Though the smartphone comes in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants in China, in India Meizu has announced only the 32 GB variant and said nothing about the other two variants. The smartphone also features a mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button.
The MX5 sports a 20.7 megapixel laser autofocus rear camera with Sony IMX220 RS BSI sensor with dual LED flash, it is also capable of recording videos at 4K resolution. The rear camera has f/2.2 aperture, 6-element lens, and burst mode features. On the front, it houses a 5 megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone gets it juice from 3150 mAh battery which comes with mCharge- Fast charging technology. One can charge phone from 0-25 percent in just 10 minutes and up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
The flagship smartphone runs Meizu’s own Flyme 4.5 UI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The dual SIM smartphone supports 4G on both the SIM. Other connectivity option includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, and Micro-USB. The smartphone measures 149.9×74.7×7.6mm and weighs 149 grams.
