Moto X4 new variant with 6 GB RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo to launch in India on 1st February

After the elaborate leaks about their upcoming line of phones, Motorola has officially taken to Twitter, to announce the arrival of a new variant of their mid-range flagship Moto X4. The original Moto X4 was launched in India somewhere in the month of November 2017. In the country, the phone was launched in two variants, based on the memory capacity of 3 GB/32 GB and 4 GB/64 GB. Now Motorola has made it official that, a third variant of the phone, which will be loaded with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory and will run on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo, will be launched exclusively on Flipkart, on February 1, 2018.

The Moto X4 variants were priced at Rs. 20,999 and Rs. 22,999 respectively, but as of now the price of the new variant has not yet been revealed. Even if that’s the case, here’s what you should know about the smartphone. The Moto X4 was one of the very first smartphones, to be made available in the market, that comes preloaded with both Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa smart assistants. Apart from that, the Moto X4 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen, with 424 PPI pixel density LTPS IPS LCD display, that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

For computing purposes, the smartphone is dependent on a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC.  The current variants of the phone run on Android 7.0 Nougat, but as mentioned earlier the new variant of the phone will run on the latest Android Oreo out of the box. For optics, the Moto X4 comes with a dual camera set-up on the rear with a12 MP dual pixel sensor with f/2.0 and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle sensor with 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture. On the front side the smartphone packs 16 MP sensor with flash, and f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone which is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging is dependent on USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, GLONASS, dual SIM card support with 4G VoLTE. As for the dimensions of the phone are concerned, it measures 148.4 x 73.4 x 8 mm and weighs 163 g.
