OnePlus 5T will have similar pricing as Oneplus 5; tickets for launch event now available

OnePlus 5T, the company’s upcoming phone is all set to be launched in New York on November 16. So far, the phone is strongly expected to house a bezel less display with an increment in display resolution and some changes in rear and front cameras. There have been various speculations regarding the price of device, with most expecting it to cost a little higher than the OnePlus 5. The CEO of company – Pete Lau had recently hinted that the phone will be priced under CNY 4,000 which translates to Rs. 39,000 approximately.

It has been seen that, with each new variant the company is increasing the price from previous generation phone. According to Techradar, they have accessed the confidential document which shows the prices of the new OnePlus 5T is going to be same as the previous phone, which is the OnePlus 5. If the news comes out to be true then the phone would be similarly priced as the present OnePlus 5, which is at Rs. 32,999 and Rs. 37,999 for the 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants. The document also revealed that there will be 64 GB and 128 GB variants of the phone and there will be no 256 GB variant as such.

OnePlus CEO – Pete Lau has been teasing the imaging capabilities of the phone through various posts, which points towards upgraded camera capabilities. The dual camera setup is rumoured to have 20 MP and 16 MP sensors. If rumours are to be believed, the phone may come with a 6-inch bezel less display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The company also confirmed the presence of 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone is likely to be running on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.

Recently, the phone was spotted on AnTuTu benchmark with the name A5010, which did reveal some key details about the phone such as Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

The company is going to launch the phone globally in New York on November 16, for which the tickets are already being sold on company’s official launch page. Additionally, the event will also be screened live in selected theatres in India at a price of Rs. 99. The tickets for which can be booked from Bookmyshow.
