Oppo the Chinese brand has entered into the Indian market with its flagship device the Oppo N1. The smartphone comes with two storage options 16 GB & 32 GB. The company has launched the 16 GB version at Rs. 39,999 in India. However, the company has not revealed the price details for 32GB model. The smartphone will be initially available in 12 major cities in India, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai being few of them.
The Oppo N1 is a late entrant in India as the phone was launched globally in September 2013. On the technical & specifications ground, the phone is very strong. The Oppo N1 comes with Android v4.2 but the phone also comes with a limited edition CyanogenMod OS based on Andoid v4.3 .
Oppo N1 features the Color UI which is the Oppo’s customized user interface of Android just like Samsung has Touchwiz UI. The Oppo N1 has a 5.9-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and 373 ppi pixel density. It sports a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. But, many people will be disappointed to get the Snapdragon 600 processor in almost 40,000 Rs. as the flagships from the likes of Samsung, HTC, Sony come with the latest Snapdragon 800 processor. The Oppo N1 has 2GB of RAM.
The USP of the phone is it’s 13 MP Swivel Camera with dual LED flash which can be easily rotated by 206 degrees and can lock at any angle. That’s the reason it has no front facing camera as the 13 MP camera serves dual needs and it can click awesome 13 MP front facing images. The phone’s camera has been appriciated everywhere.
The Oppo N1 has another interesting feature, which is a small touch-sensitive area at the back, called O-Touch, which can perform some functions with the help of gestures. Just like activating the camera or controlling music playback.
The phone has a a 3610mAh battery. And for connectivity, apart from all the common facilities it comes with NFC.
