Last week, Reliance Jio announced that its Welcome Offer which offers free unlimited 4G data, voice call and free roaming will end on 3rd December, instead of 31st December following the Trai directives. However, according to some analysts and new reports, Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio might extend their free Welcome offer till March 2017.
However, as per Trai rules, a telecom service provider cannot give free services for more than 90 days. So, it will be interesting to see how Reliance Jio will manage to extend their free services till March 2017 to gain more customers to achieve the 100 million mark.
We have told Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and government that customers have faced issues with regard to the quality of service due to the interconnection congestion and they have not been able to enjoy the services that they deserve and what we want to deliver to them. And till we are in a position where we can deliver the quality of service as desired by the Jio management, it will be unfair to charge the customer.

Considering the above press statement, it is very much likely that the company could extend the offer till March 2017. If the reports turn out to be true, then Reliance Jio may see a rise in their subscribers, if they manage to provide better services. Stay tuned for more updates!
