Samsung launched two mid range tablets “Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab E” in US around two months ago. Finally these tablets were launched in India on 18th June at a launch event in Bangalore. Both the tablets focus on entertainment factor and come with many features. Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab E are priced at Rs. 20,500 and Rs. 16,900 respectively.
Samsung Galaxy Tablet A will be available via Online stores and Samsung Stores while Galaxy Tab E will be exclusively available via Flipkart by the end of this month.
Both tablets are feature-packed and support Voice-calling so that you can use these tablets as smartphones as well. Both offers a great performance and rich feel of entertainment. Let’s check out both the tablets in details :
Galaxy Tab A:
Samsung Galaxy Tab A is a mid – range tablet with aspect ratio of 4:3 which offers good viewing experience. The Galaxy Tab A features an 8-inch TFT display with a HD screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage of tablet is 16 GB which is further expandable via micro SD card up to 128 GB.
The tablet packs a 4200 mAh battery. It sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Lollipop based tablet supports 4G and Micro-USB. The Galaxy Tab A is very thin and lightweight measuring 7.5mm and weighs 320 grams only.
The Galaxy Tab A will be available in Smoky Titanium and White colour. The tablet is equipped with many offers as well which includes 2GB of free 4G data from Airtel for first two months. The company has also announced Galaxy Gifts worth Rs. 30,000.
Galaxy Tab E:
Galaxy Tab E is an another product in Samsung’s world. It is also a thin tablet with 8.5 mm thickness and weighs 495 grams. It is a bigger tablet with 9.6 inch WXGA screen (1280×800 pixels) with aspect ratio of 16:10 which provides users a great viewing experience and people can utilize the expansive screen by watching movies and playing games.
The Tab E is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage of Tab E is 8 GB which can be expanded further via Micro SD card up to massive 128 GB.
The Tab E also features a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera for selfie lovers. The tablet is backed by a good 5000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and supports 3G networks only. It does not supports 4G connectivity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab E also comes with free 2GB 3G data for first two months for postpaid subscribers of Vodafone. Prepaid Vodafone users buying the Galaxy Tab E will get additional 1GB of 3G data free with the purchase of 1GB 3G data for first two months. The Galaxy Tab E will be available in Metallic Black and Pearl White colours.
Both tablets seem to be very good with good design and good features as well. It will be interesting to see how these tablets face their rivals like Lenovo, Xiaomi and Apple.
