Samsung has finally launched its much rumoured set of Flip phones i.e the G-9298 also called as the Leadership 8 and the Galaxy Folder 2. Both the phones are launched in China and will be available for sale only there as of now. There is no clue of its arrival in India or other markets around the world.
The Leadership 8 comes in as the successor of Samsung’s W2017 which was launched last year. The smartphone sports two 4.2-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED displays, one on the inside and one on the outside. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.15 GHz. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.
In the imaging department, the Leadership 8 (G-9298) sports a 12 MP camera with a wider f/1.7 aperture on the rear and 5 MP camera with F/1.9 aperture on the front for selfies and video calls. The smartphone packs a 2,300 mAh battery that is claimed to deliver a standby time of 68 hours. The connectivity options include 4G support, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, and GPS. The phone also comes with features like, Samsung Pay, S Voice, and Secure Folder. The Samsung G-9298 measures 130.2 x 62.6 x 15.9 mm and weighs 235 grams.
Coming towards the Galaxy Folder 2, this model falls in the mid-range segment. The phone sports a 3.8-inch TFT LCD display with WVGA resolution and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. The device comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. This dual-SIM handset features an 8 MP rear camera alongside a 5 MP front-facing camera and is backed by a 1,950 mAh to keep things ticking.
