Sony starts rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for its Z series smartphones
Sony India has now started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for Xperia Z3, Z3 compact, Z2, and Z2 tablet. The update is available over-the-air or via Sony’s PC companion app.
Apart from the obvious updates of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, Sony has also brought the enhanced privacy settings, an all new camera interface, update Xperia Messaging and Direct Share with the update. The update file is over 1 GB, so it’s better if you have at least 1.5 GB free space and good WiFi network to download it.
If you haven’t received the OTA notification, you can check it manually also via Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for update.
