Videocon, extending its budget segment range has launched a new smartphone, dubbed as ‘Ultra50’ at a price tag of Rs. 8,990. The smartphone will be available on all offline and online stores in India from the first week of November.
The Videocon Ultra50 features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. The processor is paired with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, dual-LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash as well for low light selfies. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
The dual sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 3000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and FM radio. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the physical home button.
The smartphone comes with pre-installed emergency response app called ‘SOS-BE Safe’ that utilizes power button of the smartphone as the panic button to send an alert to the numbers added in the emergency list. It also houses the dual WhatsApp feature that allows users to use two different WhatsApp accounts simultaneously. It also supports gesture control to perform various functions.
