After the end of rumours on Mi 6, as it is launched yesterday, there’s another smartphone from Xiaomi that has been spotted online. It is the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 phablet that has been listed with full specifications on GearBest even before its release. There’s also an ‘Arrival notice’ provision on the website where the users will be notified as and when the smartphone becomes available.
Let’s have a look at the specifications first, according to the listing, the Mi Mix 2 sports a 6.4 inch QHD AMOLED display with 2540 x 1440 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has got a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.45 GHz which is quite possible with recently launched Mi 6 bearing the same. The device comes in three different variants with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage and 8 GB RAM along with 256 GB internal storage. The phablet runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Talking about the optics, the Mi Mix 2 will contain a 19 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front facing camera. For connectivity, there is 4G, dual-sim support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, A-GPS and Glonass. The on board sensors includes Ambient Light Sensor, Gravity Sensor and Proximity Sensor, there’s no mention of a finger-print sensor as of now. The device holds a 4,500 mAh battery for its powering.
With all that being said, we aren’t certain that the Mi Mix 2 will surely bear all the listed specs. Also, the rendered image on the listing clearly looks like it’s been morphed. There’s no surety that the design of the phablet will have an all-screen design without a front camera as it appears in the rendered image. Also, the listed dimensions are same as that of the Mi Mix. So we advice to consider it with a grain of salt.
