Xiaomi Mi TV 3s in 55-inch and 65-inch 4K display variants launched in China

Xiaomi at its Beijing event launched the much awaited flagships Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus, and along with them Xiaomi also unveiled two variants of its ‘Mi TV 3s’ in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes with 4K display and smart features as well.

Firstly, talking about the design, these TVs features a thin metal aluminum frame with champagne diamond pattern and brushed metal America back. They measure 9.9mm at their thinnest point. Both the TVs are powered by a 1.8 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A53 Amlogic T966 64-bit processor clubbed with Mali-T830 GPU. The processor is paired with 2 GB of RAM and there is 8 GB of inbuilt eMMC storage.

The 55-inch Mi TV 3s model is equipped with LG’s IPS 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) display which is said to offer true-to-life colour details and picture quality. While, the 65-inch model is equipped with Samsung’s 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) display which offers vivid details and bright picture quality. Both of these TVs have Dolby Atmos support in terms of audio quality, and also come with DTS hardware-level decoding. Both TVs run on Android OS with MIUI.

Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, HDR with the fifth generation of HD engine and PatchWall. The PatchWall puzzle wall is actually an A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) system that continues learning from you and your family’s habits. It offers more accurate intelligent recommendation function. The company calls it ‘Mi Brain’ that automatically recommend good movies and videos over the time. These are the first TVs in the World featuring such features, according to the company.

Now, in addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that the company has also announced the ‘Home theatre edition’ of the 65-inch Mi TV 3s, this essentially means that you will also get a sound bar, a sub-woofer and two 2.25-inch surround speakers as part of the package.
