Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 smartphone with MediaTek Helio P20 chipset in China, back in August this year. The company is expected to launch the smartphone with Snapdragon 625 SoC in India soon. However, now a new model, dubbed as Redmi Note 4X has surfaced.

As per the leaked image, the Redmi Note 4X will be powered by Snapdragon 653 SoC built on 14-nm process. It will sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.1 on top. Other specifications are expected to be similar to the original Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.

The smartphone is backed by a 4100mAh battery with fast charging and also houses a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options  include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

The Redmi Note 4 is priced at 899 yuan (approx. Rs. 9,000) for the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and the 3GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs 1199 yuan (approx. Rs. 12,000) in China.

The Redmi smartphones are very popular in India and the low-pricing has been the key in the huge sale of these smartphones. It will be interesting to see at what price the Redmi Note 4 and Note 4X will arrive in India. Stay tuned for more updates!
