HTC has announced the release of a new midrange smartphone named HTC Desire 626G+ in Indian market.

At same event the Taiwanese firm also confirmed the release of its most anticipated flagship smartphone – The HTC One M9+. The One M9+ is currently announced for China and the details of its global availability are yet to be announced.

The Desire 626G+ looks like a variant of Desire 626. With a gorgeous ergonomic design featuring a 5-inch 720p HD display, 13 MP auto-focus camera on the back and a 5MP secondary camera, a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor with 1GB RAM. The phone features 3G connectivity but misses out on 4G LTE; this may be an issue according to the current market situation with option of various 4G LTE capable smartphones.

HTC Desire 626G+ offers you an internal storage capacity of 8GB and option for MicroSD card expansion. The phone has dual SIM support and an embedded Li- polymer 2000 mAh battery, with 5 inch display and octa core chipset a doubt arises concerning battery performance.

With Microsoft also announcing the Lumia 640XL in the Indian market just a few days ago, it will be interesting to see how users respond to the launch of HTC Desire 626G+, both the phones Lumia 640XL and Desire 626+ have almost same specifications whereas OS of the phones creates a significant contrast.

Much more competition may be offered by Samsung Galaxy E7 and HTC’s own kinfolk HTC Desire 816G.

The HTC Desire 626G+ doesn’t deliver power and performance expected with its price tag, it’ll cost you 16,900. This phone is not for the tech savvy users of smartphones.

HTC Desire 626G+ offers two color options of blue lagoon and white birch. The exact date of release is not announced yet but is expected to hit Indian markets soon.
