Moto C Plus with 5-inch screen, 8MP camera, Android 7.0 & 4,000 mAh battery launched in India at Rs. 6,999

After launching the ultra affordable Moto C smartphone, Lenovo-owned Motorola has now unveiled the Moto C Plus in India. The smartphone was announced last month along side Moto C and has now hit the shelves in India. The Moto C Plus is priced at Rs. 6,999 and will be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart from tomorrow, 20th June at 12 pm in Pearl White, Fine Gold and Starry Black colors.

The smartphone also comes bundled with exciting launch offers under which, the buyers will get an extra 20% on Flipkart Fashion in its end of season sale from 24th June to 26th June. Apart from this, all those who purchase the smartphone will get the Motorola Pulse Max headset worth Rs. 2,499 at a special price of Rs. 749. Also, all the Reliance Jio Prime members will get additional 30 GB of 4G data where, all the Jio users who are not the Prime members yet will get enrolled for the Prime membership.

Talking about the specifications, the smartphone sports a 5 inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display and has a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor under the hood. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable via a dedicated microSD slot. The Moto C Plus also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat similar to that of Moto C. The smartphone also comes with Google Assistant and Stock android UI to further strengthen it on the software end.

The Moto C Plus holds an 8 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP front camera, where both front and rear cameras are coupled with LED flash. The device packs a massive 4,000 mAh removable battery and ships with a 10w rapid charger to quickly charge the smartphone. The connectivity options include Dual Sim, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The smartphone measures 144 x 72.3 x 10 mm and weighs 162 g.

Comparing the smartphone with Moto C, which was launched earlier this month, it sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.1 GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core processor. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded further upto 32 GB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. In the imaging department, there is a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording support. There is also a 2 MP front facing camera again with LED flash.
