Oppo A57 with 16MP Selfie camera, Snapdragon 435 SoC, 3GB RAM launched in China

The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has announced a mid-range smartphone in the A-series, dubbed as ‘Oppo A57’ in its home country. It is an another selfie-focused smartphone from the company with a 16MP front camera, following the likes of Oppo F1s, Oppo R9s & R9s Plus.

The Oppo A57 sports a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, clubbed with Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is paired with 3GB RAM.

On the camera front, it packs a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF, LED Flash and a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixel, 5P lens. It comes with 32GB internal memory that is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The hybrid dual-sim smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Color OS 3.0 on top. It is backed by a 2900 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It measures at 149.1×72.9×7.65mm and weighs at 147g.

The Oppo A57 comes in Gold and Rose Gold colors. It is priced at 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15,840) and will go on sale in China starting from 12th December.
