Vivo to launch new smartphone on 17th March in India

Chinese technology giant Vivo is all set to launch a new smartphone in the Indian market. The company has scheduled an event on 17th March 2017 on which a fresh new model will be launched. Invites to the media community for the said event have already been sent.

It is to be noted that Vivo has recently launched the selfie focused Vivo V5 Plus in India at a price tag of Rs. 27,980. The scoring point of the Vivo V5 Plus is its dual-selfie camera, which includes a 20MP primary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and a secondary 8MP front camera for shooting in-depth details. The high-end phone sports a 16MP rear camera, whilst the ‘Moonlight Glow’ option in it allows clicking better selfies in low-light conditions.

Marking a 64GB of inbuilt storage configuration, the V5 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 skin. With regards to the hardware specifications, the Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) display and is powered by the 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, having 4GB of RAM. It carries a non-removable Li-Ion 3160 mAh battery and comes with 2G/3G, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS as crucial connectivity options.

With quite a many budget, mid-range and premium smartphones being on their way to the global and Indian mobile market (especially after the closure of Mobile World Congress 2017), let’s see what surprise Vivo holds in for its users now.

Stay tuned, techies!
