Asus ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Max Pro launched

Asus, as it was planned, has launched an entire line up under its ZenFone 4 series. Some of the smartphones were launched in selected market, however now the entire ZenFone 4 series has been made official globally. The lineup includes, Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro with dual rear cameras, the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and the Zenfone 4 Selfie with dual front-facing cameras along with the budget friendly ZenFone 4 Max Pro.

Lets have a look at the specifications and prices of the smartphones one-by-one:

Asus ZenFone 4 Pro

The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro is the flagship and comes with most high-end specifications in the entire lineup. It sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU. The device comes with 6 GB RAM and you get a choice between 64 GB or 128 GB internal storage, expandable up to 2 TB with microSD. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Zen UI 4.0 on top.

In the imaging department, the ZenFone 4 Pro holds a dual rear camera setup with a primary 12 MP, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor with OIS and Qualcomm Spectra 180 ISP technology for fast focus. There is a 16-megapixel secondary rear camera with a Sony IMX351 sensor for 2X optical zoom and a 10X total zoom as well as depth-of-field effect for portraits and close-ups with blurred background. Upfront, we are looking at an 8 MP Sony IMX319 sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 87.4° field of view. The smartphone packs a 3,600 mAh battery with fast charging support along with a front mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Asus ZenFone 4 Pro comes at a starting price of $ 599 (Rs. 38,430 approx.) and will be available in Pure Black and Moonlight White colors.

Asus ZenFone 4

The Asus ZenFone 4 is a slightly trimmed down version of the ZenFone 4 Pro. It sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super IPS+ display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The smartphone has two variant which will most probably be region dependent. One out of the two is powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU and another is powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU. The device comes with 6 GB/ 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Zen UI 4.0 on top.

The imaging department includes a dual rear camera setup with a 12 MP primary sensor and an 8 MP secondary sensor accompanied with a dual-tone LED flash. There is also an 8 MP front facing camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone packs a smaller 3,300 mAh battery and holds the same front mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Asus ZenFone 4 comes at a starting price of $ 399 (Rs. 25,600 approx.) and will be available in Midnight Black, Moonlight White and Mint Green colors.

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro

As the name suggests, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is a selfie centric smartphone from the company and highlights its dual front cameras. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB with microSD. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI 4.0 on top.

The ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro holds a 16 MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, however the highlight here is the dual front camera setup with 12 MP sensor and another secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens, accompanied with a Soft LED flash. The smartphone packs a 3,000 mAh battery again with a front mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro comes in Rouge Red, Sunlight Gold and Deepsea Black colors and starts at $ 379 (Rs. 24,310 approx.)

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie

The ZenFone 4 Selfie is again the trimmed down version of the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro. It sports a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB with microSD. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI 4.0 on top.

The ZenFone 4 Selfie holds a 16 MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, and a dual front camera setup with 20 MP sensor and another 8 MP secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens, accompanied with a Soft LED flash. The smartphone packs a 3,000 mAh battery same as that of the Selfie Pro.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie will be available in Deepsea Black, Mint Green, Rose Pink, Sunlight Gold colors and  comes a at starting price of $ 279 (Rs. 17,900 approx.)

Asus ZenFone 4 Max Pro

Asus also launched the ZenFone 4 Max Pro which is upgraded version of the ZenFone 4 max which was already launched back in July. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixel) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It comes in two different variants consisting of two different chipsets, where its availability will most probably be region dependent. One variant of the ZenFone 4 Max Pro is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, while the other comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC under the hood.

The smartphone comes with 2 GB/ 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. It runs on the ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. In the imaging department, the smartphone holds a dual rear camera setup with a 16 MP sensor and a secondary sensor with wide-angle lens. There is also a 16 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. One of the premium highlights of the ZenFone 4 Max Pro is its massive 5,000 mAh battery capable of delivering 3 hours of talktime in just 15 mins of charge.
