Lenovo is all geared up to launch its much awaited budget smartphone, K8 Note on 9th August. While everyone is waiting for the smartphone to launch, the company has already revealed that the K8 Note will be exclusively sold via Amazon in India. The company had apparently released a new video teaser which at the end shows that the smartphone will be Amazon exclusive.
Apart from this, Amazon has also created a dedicated webpage for the smartphone on the site indicating exclusive availability once the smartphone is up for sale after the launch. The dedicated page on Amazon just like the teasers emphasizes the performance of the smartphone. The webpage also gives the option for signing up to get notified when the smartphone is available for sale.
Lenovo has been putting up teasers, highlighting the performance of the smartphone, but another recent teaser now puts the focus on the camera indicating that the K8 Note will hold an upgraded camera, most probably with a dual rear setup. The teasers also hints that Lenovo is focusing on an all-round performance for its upcoming smartphone.

Talking about the leaked specifications, the smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench. As per the listing, the smartphone will be powered by a 1.39 GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. This could very well be true as the company has been emphasizing the high performance of the smartphone in the teasers. The smartphone looks to be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Sadly, nothing much expect this is known about the upcoming K8 Note. To recall, the Lenovo K6 Note which was launched last year in December was powered by the Snapdragon 435 SoC. Hence we’ll have to wait till 9th August to see if Lenovo has really switched from Snapdragon to a MediaTek processor, and if so will this switch be beneficial.
We’ll be back with more, stay tuned!
