Nokia 8, the company’s expected flagship smartphone can hit the stage in June this year. According to a latest leak coming from China, HMD Global, the company which is manufacturing new phones with Nokia’s brand name, is planning to launch the Nokia 8 in June this year. The smartphone is said to come in two different screen sizes, so users which prefer a smaller phone can also get the taste of the upcoming Nokia 8.
Nokia started creating buzz during the Mobile World Congress 2017 where, many of the consumers around the world were excitedly waiting to see the redefined Nokia smartphones which were to be launched during the event. Nokia launched its Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and the new version of Nokia 3310 for everyone’s pleasing. Along with all these smartphones, there were also guesses regarding the flagship Nokia 8’s launch in the same event as well but that didn’t quite happened.
Now, the new reports regarding the device’s launch in June has again created a sense of excitement amongst many. The fact that the smartphone will be available in two different sizes is also making people happy. Nokia too seems to follow the trend of companies like Apple, Samsung, Google which launch their phones in two different sizes.
As per the rumoured specifications, the Nokia 8 will come in two variants, one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC and another with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage powered by Snapdragon 835 S0C. The smartphone is expected to come with dual rear camera set up, out of which one can be a mammoth 24 MP shooter. It may come with optical image stabilisation and an 8 MP front camera.
As per the reports, the Nokia 8 will be priced at about CNY 4000 which translates to $ 580 (roughly Rs. 38,7000) and about CNY 4500 which translates to $ 650 (roughly 43,500).
Nokia’s newly launched smartphones like the Nokia 6 are already selling at a good pace in China and Nokia will expect the same in India and other markets. As for now there is an eager wait for the Nokia 8 globally as well as for the entry of new Nokia smartphones in the Indian market.
