Samsung Galaxy OnMax Review:

After the Galaxy J7 Pro and J7 Max, Samsung has launched yet another smartphone under the sub 20000 Rs. segment, known as the Galaxy On Max. It is an almost similar device like the J7 Max and shares only few differences. Samsung has really improved upon the build quality of its budget devices and the Galaxy On Max also comes in a beautiful metallic body which looks good and feels premium.

It packs a massive 5.7 inches Full HD screen which has good display quality. Although some users may not be comfortable in holding and handling this big phone but, a bigger screen is always a treat, giving you more space for your content. It has also got a 2.5D curved glass on top. A highlight of the phone is, it comes with ‘Samsung Pay Mini’ which is a light version of Samsung Pay, it has fewer hardware requirements, comes with lesser features but is still a very good addition rather, a good capability to have in your phone.

It runs on the 2.39 GHz octa core MediaTek Helio P25 processor, coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It delivers good performance and handles games smoothly, without overheating. Although serious gamers should opt for the more powerful phones with Snapdragon processors. Another highlight of the Galaxy On Max is its cameras, it packs a 13 MP f/1.7 aperture rear camera and a 13 MP f/1.9 front camera, having LED flash on both front and back. The picture quality of both the cameras is very impressive. The low light pictures also come out good, with low noise levels and good details.

The camera app also includes ‘Social Camera’ which packs lots of features like ‘Instant Share’ which lets you share the picture with different social/messaging apps and marked contacts in WhatsApp, it also includes ‘Instant Edit’ which lets you add stickers and effects and you can share it instantly. The camera app also includes various live stickers and live filters and provides great fun options for selfie lovers. On the software front, Samsung has adopted the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with its new UX running on top.

It comes with less bloatware and is a lighter version of the Touchwiz UI, it also looks better and has some added features and themes support. It features a fast fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button. It supports dual sim with dedicated slots and supports 4G and VoLTE. The Galaxy On Max comes with 32 GB of onboard storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card. It is powered by a non-removable 3300 mAh battery which gives good battery backup but sadly, it doesn’t come with fast charging support.
